Sources & credits.
Good kitchen tools build on shared knowledge. We credit the people and formats that help make Stocked useful.
Recipe and calendar formats
Stocked's portable-file tools use original code with the Cooklang format, the Schema.org Recipe vocabulary, and the IETF iCalendar standard. Thanks to their contributors.
Supported file features vary by app version. Imports are reviewed before saving. Complex Cooklang extensions remain in the original file rather than being silently interpreted. Calendar exports are copies; editing the plan later does not update an exported calendar.
Archive support uses original Stocked code informed by the PKWARE ZIP format specification, with Apple's system-provided zlib by Jean-loup Gailly and Mark Adler for decompression. Recipe migration support varies by export format and app version. Importing remains a separate, reviewed action.
Export compatibility acknowledges Mealie contributors, Tandoor Recipes contributors, Paprika Recipe Manager and Recipya contributors. These are independently implemented file readers, not bundled copies of their applications or servers. Source links, supplied licenses and photo credits stay with the recipes. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
Food, price and location data
Open Food Facts and Open Prices are community projects. Their databases use ODbL 1.0. Individual contents and product photographs follow the separate terms in Open Food Facts licensing guidance. Community prices are dated reports, not a promise of a current price at your store.
Location data: © OpenStreetMap contributors under ODbL. Nutrition data: USDA Agricultural Research Service, FoodData Central, public domain / CC0.
Optional connections
Optional connection support, where available in your app version, uses original clients for Cooklang Federation's discovery API and Grocy's household API. Calendar publication follows IETF CalDAV (RFC 4791) and WebDAV (RFC 4918). Thanks to the projects and standards contributors. Their server code is not bundled in Stocked. External accounts and endpoints require their own setup. Discovery is separate from a reviewed import; calendar publication is a reviewed copy, not an automatic two-way mirror.
Recipe authors and photographs
Publisher recipes, names, photographs and marks belong to their owners. Stocked retains supplied author, source, license and photo-credit information. Access to a page or a file does not grant redistribution rights. Keep the original credits and check the author's terms before sharing content.
Open kitchen inspiration
Thanks to Mealie, Tandoor Recipes, KitchenOwl and Grocy for ideas about portable recipes and shared kitchens. Their application code is not bundled in Stocked's new file-exchange tools. No affiliation or endorsement is implied.
The new local file and planning tools require no hosted AI subscription. Optional online features depend on service availability and their terms.
